We have now arrived at Bruces Boatyard Faro on the 17th September 2012 and have lifted out for the winter months for maintenance. There are a number of items to purchase and fit including new wind, depth and speed log, a wind charger, more solar panels, a three bladed propellor and some new 110 amp hour batteries. the hull needs to be compounded and polished and some of the navigating lights changed to LED to help reduce power consumption. New anodes need fitting and all through hull fittings checked. The outboard engine requires a new fuel diaphram and the main engine a Yanmar 3YM30 requires a full service. The main fuel tank will have to be drained and cleaned after problems with a blockage in the fuel line. No excuse now for not getting all those jobs done.
